Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a bustling location, offering a blend of convenience and lively surroundings. The rooms were snug and met our basic needs, but the basement placement, down 16 steps with a small barred window, may not be appealing to everyone. The service was exceptional, with incredibly helpful and accommodating staff providing a great experience. The location was ideal, walking distance to various shops and restaurants, reflecting convenience at its best. The dining experience, albeit limited, was pleasant, especially with a good cafe nearby. The facilities were satisfactory but lacked any significant standout features.
The hotel was like a home away from home, far surpassing our expectations. The room was lovely and comfortable, but the bedroom windows faced the street at a similar height to the clock tower that played tunes every 15 minutes and chimed the hour. The service was friendly, efficient, and very accommodating, even assisting with extra bedding requirements. The location was fantastic in the center of Launceston, although it was noisy with local drivers doing Saturday night blockies and a visit from the fire brigade to put out a bin fire at 1.30 am. The dining experience was convenient with options available in-room or at the nearby Inside Cafe. The hotel had good facilities with dry cleaning, grocery shopping service, and laundry. However, there were minor inconveniences like only the rubbish bins being emptied on the third day and some discomfort caused by the strong scents in the air.
This hotel is in a convenient location, close to markets, a park, and the CBD. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, with all the essentials for a short stay, keeping their old-time charm. However, one room may face underground. The service is accommodating and friendly, though there may be challenges with stairs. The location is ideal for exploring local attractions and amenities, but it may get noisy due to street activities at night. Dining options are nearby, and the facilities meet basic needs with limited extras.
